What is the STAR Kids Program?The STAR Kids Program is a Medicaid Managed Care program for children and young adults under 21 with disabilities. We provide personal care services to help with daily living activities through this program. Eligibility is determined by the Texas Health and Human Services Commission.

How do I know if I qualify for the Primary Home Care (PHC) program?To qualify for the Primary Home Care (PHC) program, individuals must be 21 years or older, have an unmet need for personal care, and meet specific Medicaid eligibility criteria. A practitioner’s statement confirming the medical need for assistance with daily living activities is also required.

What is the difference between state-covered programs and private duty home care?Medicaid-covered programs pay for services that the individual qualifies for under their specific program. Private duty home care is not covered by Medicaid; the individual pays out of pocket and/or through private insurance. Private pay offers a boutique service plan tailored to the specific needs of the patient or individual, which may include transportation and other services.

What qualifications do your caregivers have?Our caregivers are certified and/or non-skilled healthcare workers with experience in providing personal care services. Many hold certifications such as Certified Nursing Assistants(CNAs) or Home Health Aides(HHAs). Additionally, all of our caregivers undergo background checks and continuous training to ensure they meet the highest standards of care.

Can I choose my caregiver?Yes, you may request a preferred caregiver of your choice, then continue with, we strive to match caregivers with clients based on their specific care needs, personality, and preferences. If at any point you wish to request a different caregiver, we will work with you to make the necessary changes to ensure a comfortable and positive experience.
